Charlotte Ronson brings grunge into fashion week

Fashion designer Charlotte Ronson was one of the many professionals who displayed their collections during New York Fashion Week, and her spring line seems to have mixed a Victorian era-style with a big of grunge, according to MTV News.

Ronson’s models went for the natural look with plain makeup and loose ponytails, as they strutted down the runway in her creations, the media outlet reports.

“It actually first started off being more Victorian; lots of light sheer dresses and covered buttons and high necklines,” Charlotte spoke of her line to the news source. “It always falls into more of a Boho, ’70s feel, but then each season we also add a little more grunge factor and that comes in more with button-downs and pajama pants and patchwork denim and the crop tops and things like that.”

Individuals who are interested in fashion design may want to know what they will be making as a professional once they graduate from their design programs. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual salary for people in this field was approximately $61,000 in 2008.
