A Richmond, Virginia, based design firm, Visible Proof, has garnered many of the top honors during the IDEA awards luncheon.
The interior design company won six first place recognitions, plus an additional honorable mention in one of the categories they won in. They earned these awards in the custom category for Collaborative Tables at the Martin Agency, retail category for the Sweet Spot candy shop, corporate category for the Martin Agency creative space renovation and both residential categories – both under and over 3,500 square feet, and singular space category for the work they did on a family game room.
“It was so gratifying for us after a really long year of hard work,” said the founder of the company, Kristi Lane.
Individuals who are interested in interior design may want to know what the job market will be like once they graduate from their design programs. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for professionals in this field is expected to increase by 19 percent between 2008 and 2018.
