ASID OC Design Awards recently announced that they will be giving Lisa Rachelle McDennon (LRM) Interior Design a gold award, its fourth in the past three years. The company took the Gold Award in the commercial category for its work at a web design firm in Irvine.
“Competition in the commercial category was fierce this year,” said McDennon. “We were up against all types of commercial designs, including restaurants and other corporate offices, and we are so honored to have won the Gold Award. It is a phenomenal feeling to be recognized in this way by my peers in the industry!”
McDennon is no stranger to awards as she was honored by House Beautiful magazine last year as one of the Top 20 Designers to Watch.
Individuals who are interested in interior design may want to know what the job market will look like once they graduate from their design programs. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for professionals in this field is expected to increase by 19 percent between 2008 and 2018.
