Nicki Minaj accused of copying designer

Hip hop star Nicki Minaj is being accused of wearing a copy of another fashion designers work to New York Fashion Week. Jessica Rodgers, designer of Someday New Yorker is outraged that Minaj wore an outfit with her “Puff Ball” designs, according to Fashionista.

Minaj’s stylist has even reached out to the 21-year-old designer, requesting images of her “Puff Ball” garments, but Rogers never heard from them after the fact, according to the media outlet.

Rogers was also upset because the person sitting next to Minaj during Carolina Herrera’s fashion show was none other than the editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine.

“I am very upset by the fact that she was sitting next to Anna Wintour,” Rogers told the news source. “I admire Anna Wintour very much and I was hoping that one day she would see my garments and it would be the first time that she would see Puff Balls used as I use them.”

According to the Huffington Post, Rogers also wrote in her blog that she is upset that the knock off doesn’t even look good.
